1. Why Did You Choose to Become a Physician?
   
   My whole life, I have always been driven by a desire to help people in whatever way I could. In terms of helping people, it is my belief that there is no better profession than the practice of medicine. As a physician, I have the opportunity to spend my days treating people who are sick and suffering from pain and helping them to feel better. I cannot imagine a more rewarding practice, and I thank God that I am fortunate enough to do that.
2. What’s Your Favorite Thing About Practicing Internal Medicine?
   
   I would have to say that one of the most satisfying parts of being a physician comes when you diagnose and solve complex medical cases. The satisfaction of solving a challenging puzzle coupled with the relief and appreciation of patients is difficult to describe. Nothing can beat that experience, which is just one part of the reason I love my job.
3. What do You Think is the Biggest Benefit of SFSH – Urgent Care?
   
   In terms of medical experience, the knowledge and skill of the physicians and nurses at our Urgent Care clinic is truly unmatched by any other acute or urgent care clinic in Sioux Falls. It is a remarkable experience to watch the members of our dedicated staff pour their talents into our patients each day. It really is an honor to work with every one of them.
4. What’s One Thing You’d Like Your Patients to Know About You?
   
   I have always been passionate about people and how the field of medicine can help them live longer, healthier, happier lives. Because of this, I, am dedicated to each and every patient that I see. I want to help them feel better; I want to help them be healthier; and I care about each of them as a person and not as a number.
5. Outside of Medicine, What is Your Single Biggest Passion?
   
   Well, I would have to say that my biggest passion is traveling. I don’t get to do it as often as I would like but, if time permits, I love to get out and see the world. I get an almost indescribable amount of joy from exploring new places and experiencing new things. It’s something that I plan to do more of going forward.
