To our Patients, Families, Visitors, and Team Members:
Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital recognizes the health concerns and impact that COVID-19 has taken on our communities. We remain open in order to provide the care and treatment you need and are taking every precaution possible in order to service you and your family.
The priority of ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff is paramount and we are taking actions to safeguard those at our facility.
Due to the increase in COVID cases in our community, beginning Thursday September 24th, 2020 SFSH will no longer allow visitors to accompany patients. Exceptions include: pediatric patients (under the age of 18) are allowed to be accompanied by one adult/guardian and patients who are scheduled to stay overnight may be accompanied by one adult. Visitors will be asked to wear a mask at all times in addition to other safety measures put in place.
Effective Wednesday, October 14th, the Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital opened a new location for coronavirus screening, conveniently located only 8 blocks from the Hospital at 600 N. Cliff Avenue. You will receive information about the screening in your pre-operative phone call. The screening test is performed prior to your visit for surgery at the Hospital. We ask that you be respectful of our screening process as this is in place to add to the safety of your visit. Please do not attend as a patient or visitor if you feel any of the following symptoms:
